SONIC prototype V2
New Frames and parts
Im doing my best to bring in more of my own stuff this season
The Rascal framesets are already here along with some of my own parts!
The Sonic project is also taking form, I have recieved the second round of prototypes,
and they look really promising, with only very few small changes needed.
I have build up the size Large, to test on my own,
and im gathering parts to complete the other to sizes.
Pictures on this side is of the size Large in “Urban Camo”
– Dont know it this color will make it to production or if its
to crazy?
Production??
If I can afford it, I will try to make a small Sonic batch production
during 2026.
Im financing everything on my own, so it really depends on how the season turns out…

What is SONIC?
Sonic is my take on a modern NO-Nonsense
full speed A to B bike.
After riding on re-builded road frames for my commuting
most of my early adult life,
(Apparently I was ok to have mud and rain all over my back,
run thin 23mm tires, no options for carrying stuff at that time)
I wanted to create a more modern version, that could have the same speed and handling but accommodate
MUDGUARDS, DISC BRAKES, BIGGER tires,
and the options for racks or basket.
Sonic It’s made of chromoly steel tubing,
with ovalized top- and downtube.
Flat crown fork.
And generally I have tried to use as slim tubing as possible,
to make the design so slim and light as possible.
For the V2 I also re-designed the rear triangle, so V2 has this, imo, cool ovalized/flat monostay.
Sliding Rocker Dropouts
It’s designed with sliding “Rocker Dropouts”
with open seat stay on the right side to accommodate
the option of Belt Drive.
The Rocker Dropouts comes intwo versions:
Thru Axle 12×142
or std 10×135
Fork is thru axle 12×100 only
With this design, the bike can be build with:
Internal gears with chain or belt drive
Singlespeed with chain or belt drive
External gears with chain
It also has a hidden cable stop if you want to run a double crankset.
And of cause threaded holes for most of your desires:
Rear rack, mudguards, basket, front rack…
